About the Job: We are seeking a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team at Nightingales Nursing Services in North Carolina.

Job Summary: As a CNA, you will provide exceptional personal care to our residents, working under the direction of our nursing staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify the identity of residents receiving medication, check the MAR to ensure the correct medication is given, and record the time of administration or self-administration on specified forms or records.

• Supervise the self-administration of medications by presenting medication to the resident and observing ingestion or other application.

• Obtain and record residents' vital signs, weight, food and fluid intake, and output as directed.

• Observe residents to detect responses to specified types of medications and prepare reports or notify designated personnel of unexpected reactions.

• Respond to residents' call signals to determine their needs within 7 minutes or less according to facility standards.

• Maintain the safety and well-being of our residents.

• Ensure residents' hygiene by following the bath schedule and providing baths and/or sponge baths as needed.

• Assist residents with dressing and toileting as required.

• Observe residents for changes in condition and report any unusual occurrences to the Resident Services Director and/or supervisor in charge.

• Complete incident reports in their entirety for any unusual occurrences, events, or changes in condition.

• Assist with meal service by setting tables, serving residents, providing refills or seconds, and removing dishes as residents finish eating.

• Clean common areas as assigned and appropriate to the shift.

• Complete daily paperwork as required to ensure all assigned duties are performed for each resident.

• Complete all mandatory compliance, HIPAA, and state and federal regulatory training as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned and which relate to the success and the Care, Comfort, and Happiness of our Residents.

Requirements:

Education: High School or GED is preferred, along with three to six months of related experience and/or training.

Professional Experience Requirements: A minimum of one year of experience in a Long Term Care Facility is required.
