Job Title: Wound Care Therapist

Job Summary:
The Wound Care Therapist is a specialized healthcare professional responsible for providing comprehensive care to patients with wounds and related health conditions. This role involves evaluating, treating, and preventing wounds, as well as collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Evaluate patients with wounds and develop individualized treatment plans to promote healing and prevent further complications.
2. Provide wound care services, including debridement, dressing changes, and topical medication applications, under the supervision of a physician or nurse practitioner.
3. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as physicians, nurses, and therapists, to ensure comprehensive care and optimal patient outcomes.
4. Educate patients and their families on wound care and management, including proper wound dressing and hygiene techniques.
5. Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient care, including wound assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes.

Requirements:
A Bachelor's degree or higher in Physical Therapy or Nursing from an accredited institution. Must hold or be eligible for a New York State license in Physical Therapy or as a Registered Nurse. Successful completion of an orientation program in accordance with departmental guidelines.
