Job Summary

This role supports the Maintenance Team in maintaining production equipment and spare parts, ensuring efficient operations and quality production. The ideal candidate will have experience in a technical or mechanical environment and be proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting of assigned equipment to ensure optimal production and quality.
  • Monitor and maintain building and production systems, including 24-hour emergency maintenance service.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance checks and inspections, reporting findings to the Shift Supervisor and taking corrective action.
  • Analyze mechanical and operational problems, making necessary corrections and adjustments to maintain production and quality.
  • Test equipment to verify correct operation and production of quality products.
  • Develop and manage a spare parts program, ordering parts and ensuring timely receipt and payment to vendors.
  • Update technical SOPs for the Maintenance Department, collaborating with the Engineering team.
  • Coordinate with vendors for facilities maintenance, ensuring services are provided according to schedules and maintaining records.
  • Maintain inventory controls for cost-effective operations.
Requirements:

Education:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
Work Experience:
  • Experience in a technical or mechanical environment is a plus.
  • Some plant or maintenance experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • This role requires exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience in a technical or mechanical environment is a plus.
  • Technical background to support the needs of the mechanics and parts ordering.
  • SAP experience is a plus.
