POSITION: Facilities Operations Specialist

*This role involves significant physical activity including climbing, kneeling, reaching, standing, pushing, pulling, lifting, and repetitive movements.*

As a Facilities Operations Specialist, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity of our facilities across all bases. Your responsibilities will encompass a variety of tasks, from conducting repairs and preventative maintenance to managing small-scale projects, all aimed at ensuring seamless daily operations.

We seek a dedicated, trustworthy, and proactive Facilities Operations Specialist who prioritizes safety and has a proven history of fostering a secure work environment. This is a full-time, year-round position with a rotational schedule based out of our operational hub. You may be required to travel occasionally to support our various locations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Upholding a safe working environment by adhering to all safety protocols.
  • Executing tasks such as installation, repair, and maintenance of walls, ceilings, and floors.
  • Repairing and maintaining office furniture.
  • Installing insulation in buildings.
  • Conducting scheduled maintenance and troubleshooting of heating systems.
  • Inspecting and trimming doors, windows, and baseboards.
  • Identifying and reporting hazardous conditions.
  • Responding to and managing work orders efficiently.
  • Documenting work completed and communicating effectively with stakeholders.
  • Traveling as needed to various locations.
  • Fostering positive relationships across all operational facilities.
  • Interpreting diagrams and blueprints.
  • Working independently during evenings and weekends.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience with automated systems and controls.
  • At least 2 years’ experience in repairing material handling equipment.
  • Experience in conducting predictive and preventative maintenance.
  • 1+ years of experience in metal and wood fabrication.
  • 1+ years of experience reading blueprints and electrical schematics.
  • Familiarity with electrical and electronic principles.
  • Knowledge of Material Handling Equipment (MHE) safety standards.
  • Customer service experience (1 year preferred).
  • Experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in using power and hand tools.
  • Ability to maintain logs, inventories, and purchasing records using computers.
  • Capability to lift and/or move 100 lbs and stand or walk for extended periods, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Valid Driver's License (preferably applicants 25 years or older due to insurance requirements).
Physical Requirements:
  • Frequent bending, crouching, kneeling, reaching, twisting, sitting, standing, and walking.
  • Lifting tools and parts averaging 20 pounds, occasionally up to 49 pounds.
  • Dexterity in hand/eye coordination and manual tasks.
  • Working conditions may involve small spaces, dust, fumes, temperature variations, and noise.
