Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Development Specialist to join our team at Thom Child and Family Services. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing early intervention services to infants and toddlers with developmental delays or risk factors.

Salary Information

The estimated annual salary for this position is $62,500 - $80,000, depending on qualifications and experience.

Job Description

In this role, you will:

  • Conduct multidisciplinary assessments to identify the developmental status of clients and inform the development of individualized service plans.
  • Provide direct child development services, including activities and interventions tailored to meet the unique needs of each child and family.
  • Collaborate with families to ensure that their priorities, needs, culture, and values are respected and prioritized throughout the service delivery process.
  • Assess family and child strengths and concerns, as well as progress towards goals and objectives outlined in the Individual Family Service Plan (IFSP).
  • Coordinate services with other professionals and community partners to ensure seamless support for families.
  • Foster strong relationships with children, parents/caregivers, and community partners, demonstrating a commitment to delivering culturally humble and individualized services.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of client interactions, assessments, and progress notes, adhering to confidentiality and professional standards.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current on best practices and emerging research in early childhood development and intervention.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • A Master's Degree in Social Work from an accredited school of social work OR a Certified or Licensed Social Worker (LCSW, LICSW, LMHC) credential.
  • Experience working with infants, toddlers, and families, preferably in an early intervention setting.
  • Knowledge of family systems and early childhood development principles.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage in meaningful therapeutic relationships.
  • A commitment to delivering individualized and culturally sensitive services.
  • Good computer skills and strong documentation abilities.
