Job Title: Senior Platform Engineer

Centersquare DC is seeking a highly skilled Senior Platform Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our infrastructure team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our robust and scalable platform infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and deploy Kubernetes clusters for container orchestration across development, testing, and production environments.
  • Implement and maintain GitOps workflows using tools like ArgoCD to automate and streamline continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • Troubleshoot and optimize applications within our Kubernetes environments, providing expertise on application-specific issues.
  • Manage and support our Rancher environment, ensuring smooth operations and resolving complex issues.
  • Administer and maintain our Harvester virtualization platform, optimizing resource allocation and performance.
  • Develop custom automation scripts and tools to enhance platform scalability, monitoring, and reliability.
  • Configure and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to ensure high availability and uptime of platform services and applications.
  • Collaborate with software engineering teams to optimize application performance and resource utilization.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to resolve complex infrastructure and application-specific issues.
Requirements:
  • Strong proficiency in Linux administration.
  • Advanced Python programming skills.
  • Experience with configuration management tools (SaltStack preferred).
  • Deep understanding of containerization and orchestration technologies, particularly Kubernetes.
  • Proven track record in implementing and managing CI/CD pipelines.
  • Familiarity with virtualization technologies.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Rancher for Kubernetes management.
  • Familiarity with Harvester or similar virtualization platforms.
  • Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, OpenTofu).
  • Contributions to open-source projects.
