Job Title: Trip Pilot

We are seeking a skilled Trip Pilot to safely navigate barges in tow while ensuring the remainder of the crew performs their daily functions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate in strict compliance with all company policies and USCG regulations pertaining to drug, alcohol, pollution, safety, and vessel compliance.
  • Ensure vessel navigation equipment, VHF Radios, machinery, rigging, and all related equipment are in operating order.
  • Maintain an accurate and current vessel log.
  • Conduct drills and safety meetings in accordance with USCG regulations and company policies.
  • Investigate all accidents occurring during their shift involving boat and crew, and make reports to the main office.
Requirements:
  • Must maintain valid USCG licensing.
  • Master of Towing (min. 200 tons) Vessels upon Inland Waters.
  • Western Rivers license required.
  • Maintain an active TWIC.
  • Radar Certificate.
