Registered Dietitian Job Description

At Walden Behavioral Care, we are seeking a highly skilled Registered Dietitian to join our team at the Dedham Center for Recovery. As a Registered Dietitian, you will play a critical role in providing clinical nutrition and meal plans under the supervision of the Director of Clinical Nutrition Services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Complete comprehensive Nutrition Assessments for newly admitted patients within 48-hours of admission
  • Complete comprehensive Follow up Nutrition Assessments 2x/week
  • Prescribe appropriate meal plan to support identified nutrition goals in a manner consistent with the philosophy and objectives of Walden Behavioral Care
  • Perform individual and group nutritional therapy
  • Participate in treatment team planning, discharge planning and liaison services
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree, Master's Degree strongly preferred
  • Experience providing direct nutritional care in an Eating Disorder Program and/or Mental Health setting, preferred
  • Experience with menu planning and therapeutic diets in a healthcare setting, required
  • Registered Dietitian (RDN) with the Commission on Dietetic Registration from the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND)
