Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at Elite Radiology of Georgia. As an MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for ensuring patient safety and performing high-quality MR studies. You will work closely with radiologists, team members, patients, and customers to provide exceptional care and service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Responsible for patient safety, including pre-screening for contraindications, aseptic injection technique, and remote MR Technologist Assistant oversight.
  • Produces high-quality diagnostic images, operating multiple MR systems as required.
  • Demonstrates effective communication skills to address concerns, solve problems, and address conflict.
  • Effectively communicates with customers and radiologists to ensure seamless care.
  • Trains and orients new technologists, patient coordinators, and MR Technologist Assistants on site and remotely.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
  • ARRT (R) or ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification, as allowable by contract.
  • State license, if applicable.
  • CPR Certification.
  • Valid state driver's license, as applicable.
  • Technologists registered in other modalities: 3 months supervised MRI clinical scanning experience or currently enrolled for more than 6 months in an accredited MRI training program.
  • MR registered technologist RT(MR) or ARMRIT: No experience required.
  • Ability to work at multiple locations.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Organizational and multi-tasking skills.
  • Basic knowledge of computer applications and programs.
  • The COVID-19 vaccination is a condition of employment.
  • Local travel may be required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Registry in Magnetic Resonance by the ARRT.
  • 1 year of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Experience.
Physical Requirements

The employee may be exposed to outside weather conditions during patient transport if working on a mobile unit. The employee will be exposed to a strong magnetic field. May be exposed to blood/body fluids and infectious disease when interacting with patients.

More than 50% of the time:

  • Sit, stand, walk.
  • Repetitive movement of hands, arms, and legs.
  • See, speak, and hear to communicate with patients.

Less than 50% of the time:

  • Stoop, kneel, or crawl.
  • Climb and balance.
  • Carry and lift (ability to move non-ambulatory patients from a sitting or lying position for transfer or to exam).
