Your Role:
The Facilities Maintenance Specialist will report to the Maintenance Services Supervisor and will be tasked with executing daily maintenance and operational duties, which include repairing and maintaining electronic, mechanical, and electrical systems across all facility equipment and structures, as well as ensuring the upkeep of the premises.
The ideal candidate will possess a diverse skill set across multiple trades, including plumbing, electrical work, painting, masonry, concrete, carpentry, grounds maintenance, and gardening.
The work is general in nature and does not necessitate a licensed electrician or plumber.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct general maintenance on buildings and machinery, including minor plumbing and electrical tasks, carpentry, and repairs.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and diagrams for various building systems.
- Assist with basic construction projects such as demolition, trench digging, and debris removal.
- Ensure building security and maintain cleanliness in equipment and storage areas, while following safety protocols.
- Perform landscaping tasks such as lawn care, tree and shrub trimming, and applying pesticides and fertilizers, while implementing erosion control measures.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Education
High School Diploma or GED (required), or completion of coursework or training from a trade school.
Experience
One year of relevant experience preferred.
