Job Summary

The Cashier is a key member of our sales team, responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a seamless shopping experience. This role involves operating a cash register, handling customer transactions, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service
    • Provide a positive and welcoming experience for customers, responding to their needs and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
    • Assist customers with finding products, answering questions, and resolving issues.
    • Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including the checkout area and surrounding areas.
  • Register Operations
    • Operate a cash register accurately and efficiently, handling customer transactions and processing payments.
    • Balance the register drawer at the end of each shift and reconcile any discrepancies.
    • Participate in store meetings and training sessions to stay up-to-date on company policies and procedures.
  • Front End Appearance and Upkeep
    • Ensure the front end of the store, including the checkout area and entrance doors, is clean and well-maintained at all times.
    • Assist with restocking and facing merchandise, as well as rotating fresh products as needed.
    • Participate in decorating the front end of the store according to company guidelines.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • High school diploma or equivalent required.
    • Cashier experience preferred, but not required.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Excellent customer service skills and a positive attitude.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
    • Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash and operating a cash register.
Compensation

$12.75-$15.00 per hour
