Position Overview

MRINetwork Jobs is collaborating with a prominent manufacturer of inkjet printing equipment that is broadening its operations nationwide. We are looking for skilled Press Operators to join our team. The responsibilities of this role include:

  • Executing standard press operations to support the production team.
  • Assessing job tickets to confirm that the press is set up according to the required specifications and notes (including ink type, stock selection, etc.).
  • Operating the press in accordance with specifications and documenting completion, including materials utilized.
  • During operation, inspecting printed rolls for quality assurance and consistency, focusing on aspects such as color density and scaling.
  • Upon job completion, transferring finished rolls to the finishing department and conducting line clearance procedures for the next task.
  • Communicating with the Shift Supervisor and/or Production Manager regarding any discrepancies found in the job ticket or during the job.
  • Ensuring accurate data collection for each job, including detailed notes on materials and time variances.
  • Carrying out basic troubleshooting and preventive maintenance on the press.
  • Keeping the workspace and machinery clean and organized, adhering to company policies and safety standards.
  • Actively engaging in continuous improvement initiatives and participating in training sessions as necessary.
  • Performing additional tasks as required.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent qualification.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in press or printing-related production.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Effective communication skills.
  • Proficient in basic computer skills, including standard production/manufacturing software and ERP systems, as well as print/production computers.
  • Detail-oriented and proactive in identifying issues or inconsistencies and reporting them to management.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage various labels daily.
  • Understanding of press operations and basic troubleshooting techniques.
  • Mechanically inclined with a grasp of the fundamentals of press operation and maintenance.
