Job Summary:

As a Medical Office Licensed Practical Nurse at Southern Ohio Medical Center, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare team. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting providers with patient examinations and procedures, collecting and documenting patient vitals and medical history, and performing various administrative tasks to ensure seamless office operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist providers with patient examinations and procedures, including venipuncture and diagnostic testing
Collect and document patient vitals, chief complaints, pain assessment, and past medical history
Perform and maintain other LPN duties related to physician office operations
Conduct monthly inspections of supplies and medications, ensuring expiration dates are met and expired items are disposed of according to policy
Ensure clinical supplies are properly stocked and manage inventory
Review charts for next day's appointments and log updates to medication lists for patients
Assist with answering phones, scheduling appointments, and scanning documents
Provide coverage in other areas of the Foundation offices as needed
Collaborate with the healthcare team to manage patient care and meet their healthcare needs

Requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalent required
Graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing required
Licensed to practice as an LPN (applicable to state) required
BLS certification required within 90 days of hire
One to three months of experience preferred
