Operating Room Registered Nurse

At All Med Search, we are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Operating Room Registered Nurse to join our team.
Job Summary:
We are looking for a compassionate and detail-oriented Operating Room Registered Nurse to provide exceptional patient care in a fast-paced surgical environment. As an OR RN, you will play a vital role in ensuring positive surgical outcomes by collaborating with the surgical team, maintaining a sterile environment, and providing patient education.
Responsibilities:
- Preoperative Preparation:
- Assess patients' preoperative health status and prepare them for surgery.
- Collaborate with surgeons and anesthesiologists to plan and prepare for procedures.
- Intraoperative Support:
- Assist the surgical team during operations, maintaining a sterile environment.
- Manage surgical instruments, equipment, and ensure their availability.
- Postoperative Care:
- Monitor patients' recovery post-surgery, assessing vital signs, and managing post-anesthesia effects.
- Provide patient education regarding postoperative care and medications.
- Patient Advocacy and Support:
- Advocate for patient needs and ensure their safety and comfort throughout the surgical process.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Documentation and Compliance:
- Maintain accurate patient records, including preoperative and postoperative assessments.
- Adhere to regulatory standards and protocols for patient care and safety.
Requirements:
- Active Florida State or Compact Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- X years of experience in perioperative nursing or operating room settings.
- Proficiency in surgical procedures, aseptic techniques, and operating room protocols.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certifications preferred.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- MUST have scrubbing experience, not just Circulating.
