Smashburger Cook Opportunity

At Smashburger, we're passionate about delivering an exceptional guest experience that supports today's busy modern lifestyle. As a Smashburger Cook, you'll play a key role in bringing our vision to life.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare guest orders for special venue locations, including sporting arenas and concert venues.
  • Support corporate locations in the back of house when special venues are not operating.
  • Be a menu expert, following Smashburger's prep and menu recipe standards to prepare guest orders.
  • Read and prepare food orders, receive verbal instructions, and cook food according to those instructions.
  • Work effectively with others on the line and communicate with GSEs and managers in a busy restaurant environment.
  • Maintain cleanliness of kitchen floors, equipment, and counters at all times.
  • Follow checklists and proven systems to set up, stock, and close the kitchen.
  • Operate large cooking equipment, such as grills and deep fryers, and use knives and slicing equipment.
  • Foster a safe work environment by following personal and food safety and security standards.

Requirements:

  • Must be 16 years old.
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods and move/lift boxes of food/supplies up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work in high-temperature environments.
  • Must be able to work variable hours/days, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must successfully complete Smashburger's training program.
  • Ability to follow all guidelines and procedures set forth by Smashburger, local, state, and federal employment regulations.
  • Must be able to produce authorized U.S. work documents; Smashburger participates in E-Verify.
