Psychiatric Technician

Job Summary:

The Psychiatric Technician will provide basic level of general nursing and behavioral and psychiatric nursing care to patients in a correctional health care setting. The ideal candidate will have a valid license to practice as a Psychiatric Technician and be able to work effectively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide basic level of general nursing and behavioral and psychiatric nursing care to patients
• Work effectively in a team environment to ensure the delivery of appropriate and timely health care to patients
• Communicate effectively with patients and other members of the health care team
• Address the ongoing needs of patients and promote the efficient, appropriate, and cost-effective use of health care resources

Requirements:

• Valid license to practice as a Psychiatric Technician
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients and other members of the health care team

Working Conditions:

Travel is required for this position.

Special Requirements:

• The position requires a Drug Screening to be passed prior to being hired.
• The position requires a Background Investigation to be cleared prior to being hired.
