Job Title: Financial Crimes Compliance Associate

Vestwell is seeking a highly skilled Financial Crimes Compliance Associate to join our growing Legal and Compliance Team. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in managing fraud risk for Vestwell and our clients, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze high-risk fraud indicators to identify suspicious activity and develop effective mitigation strategies.
  • Review and respond to escalated surveillance and screening alerts, preparing detailed escalation memos to alert clients of potential suspicious activity.
  • Collaborate with Client, Operations, and Services Teams to track, research, and resolve customer inquiries, complaints, and escalations.
  • Log and track all suspicious activity information to inform management and client reporting.
  • Contribute to the development of procedures and platform features to enhance security reviews and efficiency.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or criminal justice.
  • Experience in fraud detection or anti-money laundering functions.
  • Strong analytical and detail-oriented skills, with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Ability to manage time effectively, set priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with productivity tools, especially JIRA.
  • Experience with research tools like LexisNexis.
