Carpenter Journeyman

We are seeking a highly skilled Carpenter Journeyman to join our team at Hensel Phelps. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for constructing and repairing building frameworks and structures.

• Construct and install window-frames, doors, doorframes, staircases, stairways, partitions, millwork, trim, siding, drywall, and overall building frames.
• Ensure that layout of flooring, roofing, and drywall are leveled and compatible.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to fully grasp project requirements.
• Operate small hand and power tools to assist with various worksite projects.
• Take measurements and calculate the size and amount of material needed, cutting, shaping, and smoothing wood or other required materials according to requested measurements.

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Ability to follow safe work practices in accordance with the Hensel Phelps safety and health program.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with co-workers and stakeholders.
• Reliable and punctual, with reliable transportation and consistent work attendance.

• Experience in construction layout, blueprint reading, and shop drawing reading.
• OSHA 10 Certification.
• CPR & First Aid Certification.
