Job Summary

The Respiratory Care Practitioner Trainee at Maine Medical Center participates in the treatment, monitoring, and care of patients with respiratory disorders. Under the direct supervision of a licensed respiratory care practitioner, the trainee performs various functions in non-critical care areas, including vital signs, breath sounds, nebulizer treatments, and basic life support. The trainee will also assist with oxygen therapy, charting, and documentation.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will be enrolled in an approved respiratory care education program and hold a BLS certification. The trainee will complete Age-Specific Competency training during orientation.
