Job Summary

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Trainee plays a vital role in providing direct and indirect patient care activities under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. This position requires a strong commitment to delivering high-quality patient care and adhering to established policies and procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Attend and participate in all required training sessions for CNA trainees.
  • Perform tasks under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
  • Adhere to policies and procedures of the Patient Care Services Division.
  • Document and perform patient care in accordance with established standards.
  • Demonstrate punctuality and scheduling flexibility.
  • Present a professional image.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients and coworkers.
  • Utilize equipment and supplies effectively and in a fiscally responsible manner.
  • Demonstrate effective communication skills with patients and staff.
  • Communicate pertinent information to appropriate members of the healthcare team.
  • Maintain infection control standards by adhering to standard transmission-based precautions and practicing hand hygiene.

Working Conditions

The Certified Nursing Assistant Trainee may be exposed to noxious odors, abusive and/or aggressive people, and hazardous materials. The position requires the ability to lift, move, and load less than 20 pounds, 20 to 30 pounds, and 30 to 50 pounds.
