Job Title: Pediatric Nurse

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Pediatric Nurse to join our team at Aveanna Healthcare. As a Pediatric Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care to children with complex medical needs.

Job Summary:

The Pediatric Nurse is responsible for delivering and documenting skilled nursing care to pediatric patients in accordance with physician orders and developed care plans. This role requires a strong commitment to patient-centered care, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-quality patient care to pediatric patients with complex medical needs
  • Document patient care and progress in a timely and accurate manner
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Provide education and support to patients and families to promote optimal health outcomes
  • Participate in ongoing education and professional development to stay current with best practices and industry developments
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • Current, unrestricted state license as a Licensed Nurse in the state of practice
  • Current CPR certification
  • Demonstrated proficiency in clinical assessments, documentation, and compliance with nursing care and policies and procedures
  • One (1) year of experience required working under current nursing license
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Six (6) months of recent experience as a Licensed Nurse in a clinical care setting
  • Home health experience
Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to speak, write, read, and understand English
  • Must be able to travel
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds
  • Must be able to sufficiently reposition patients and move equipment without assistance
  • Prolonged walking, standing, bending, kneeling, reaching, twisting
  • Must be able to sit and climb stairs
  • Must have visual and hearing acuity
  • Must have strong sense of smell and touch
Environment:
  • Must be able to function in a wide variety of environments which may involve exposure to allergens and other various conditions
  • Possible exposure to blood, bodily fluids, and infectious diseases
