We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pediatric Nurse to join our team at Aveanna Healthcare. As a Pediatric Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality, patient-centered care to pediatric patients with complex medical needs.
Job Summary:The Pediatric Nurse will be responsible for delivering and documenting skilled nursing care, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, in accordance with the developed care plan and physician orders. This includes:
- Providing quality patient care in compliance with physician orders
- Observing and assessing patient condition and care needs, and reporting changes to the supervisor and/or physician as appropriate
- Documenting all activities, assessments, nursing actions, responses, and coordination of care in a timely manner
- Participating in and updating the nursing care plan
- Recognizing changes in patient needs and responses requiring intervention, and implementing care to prevent or reduce risk
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
- Current, unrestricted state license as a Licensed Nurse in the state of practice
- Current CPR certification
- Demonstrated proficiency in clinical assessments, documentation, and compliance with nursing care and policies and procedures
- One (1) year of experience required working under current nursing license
We prefer candidates with:
- Six (6) months of recent experience as a Licensed Nurse in a clinical care setting
- Home health experience
This role requires:
- Ability to speak, write, read, and understand English
- Ability to travel
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Ability to sufficiently reposition patients and move equipment without assistance
This role involves working in a variety of environments, which may include exposure to allergens and other conditions. You may also be exposed to blood, bodily fluids, and infectious diseases.
