Job Summary:

The Dietary Aide is a vital member of our team at Freedom Village Bradenton, providing exceptional care and service to our residents. As a Dietary Aide, you will be responsible for preparing and serving therapeutic diet trays in accordance with posted menus. This role requires attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare therapeutic desserts and salads as required.
  • Serve meals in the health center.
  • Set up and break down tables in the dining room.
  • Transport hot and cold foods to and from the health center.
  • Transport non-food items to and from the health center.
Requirements:
  • Ability to understand and follow instructions in English.
  • Previous experience in nursing home food service preferred.
  • Ability to plan and organize work, set up trays, and interpret specifications.
  • Ability to work in close cooperation with residents, guests, and peers.
Working Conditions:
Works indoors, standing for 100% of the workday, lifting up to 30 lbs. independently, and pushing/pulling carts weighing up to 50 lbs. independently. May be exposed to extreme temperatures, industrial cleaning chemicals, and communicable diseases.
