About the Role

Virtus Health LLC is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our team in Sarasota, Florida. As an RBT, you will play a vital role in providing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy to individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other developmental disabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement individualized treatment plans developed by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to increase desired skills and decrease challenging behaviors.
  • Collect and record data on client progress, including behavioral and skill acquisition data.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure client success and provide a supportive environment.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed clinical session notes and other documentation.
  • Assist BCBA's in developing reports and conducting assessments as needed.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Psychology or a related field preferred.
  • Prior experience working with individuals with special needs or as a Registered Behavior Technician is highly valued.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, families, and team members.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Physical ability to stand, sit, bend, stoop, push, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds, as well as play and teach on the floor with clients.
