Key Responsibilities- Sample Processing: Receive and process patient samples, including loading samples into laboratory equipment and performing quality control checks.
- Instrumentation Maintenance: Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment, including troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
- Data Entry and Management: Accurately enter patient data into laboratory information systems and manage laboratory supplies.
- Quality Control and Assurance: Participate in quality control and assurance activities, including proficiency testing and competency assessments.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work effectively with laboratory staff, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
- Education and Certification: Associate degree in Medical Technology or related field, with MLT certification and at least 6 months of experience.
- Licensure: Licensed by the state of Texas as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT).
