Diagnostic Testing Professional

We are seeking an experienced Medical Lab Scientist to join our team at a major hospital organization in Northern Indiana. This role involves accurately performing medical laboratory tests following established laboratory policies and procedures.
The successful candidate will have a Bachelor of Science degree in Clinical Laboratory Science or a related field and be certified as a Medical Laboratory Scientist or Medical Technologist by a recognized board. Alternatively, they may have 1 year of clinical laboratory experience and be willing to pass a nationally-recognized certification exam within 5 years and 6 months from hire date.
Responsibilities:
- Clinical instrument maintenance and new test development
- Training of other laboratory staff members
- Participation in the overall functioning of the clinical lab, assuming leadership roles on committees and projects
- Keeping the lab in continuous readiness for inspection
Salary:
The estimated salary for this position is $70,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on experience. A $10,000 sign-on bonus is also available for certified candidates. Relocation assistance may be provided.
