Job Summary

Columbus State Community College is seeking a highly qualified Instructor to join our Information Systems Technology department. As a member of our faculty, you will be responsible for teaching assigned courses, designing curriculum, and providing a quality education for our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teaching and Curriculum Development: Teach assigned courses, design curriculum, and ensure the rigor and quality of programs.
  • Student Engagement and Advisement: Create a positive classroom atmosphere, maintain posted office hours, and use technology to communicate with students.
  • Continuous Improvement: Promote continual improvement, assist in maintaining instructional materials, and contribute to the development of new curricula.
  • Professional Development: Maintain a personal portfolio, participate in professional development activities, and contribute to the planning of college professional development programs.
Requirements
  • Education: Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Science, Education, or a closely related field.
  • Experience: Recent professional experience and skills with Windows technical support, Linux, scripting, networking, or public cloud implementation.
  • Licenses and Certifications: State Motor Vehicle Operator's License or demonstrable ability to gain access to work site(s).
Working Conditions

Typical office environment with regular exposure to moderate noise typical to business offices.
