Dental Healthcare Professional

We are seeking a skilled Dental Healthcare Professional to join our team at Florida Community Health Centers, Inc.
With 16 locations surrounding Lake Okeechobee and the Treasure Coast, we provide accessible, cost-effective, high-quality, comprehensive health care to all persons in our communities.
The estimated annual salary for this role is approximately $80,000 - $120,000, depending on experience.
About the Job:
As a Dental Healthcare Professional, you will be responsible for evaluating patients' chronic problems thoroughly and managing them appropriately.
- Evaluate patient's chronic problems thoroughly and manage accordingly.
- Evaluate patient's acute problems thoroughly and manage accordingly (including medications, imaging, and labs).
- Provide health maintenance services at recommended intervals.
- Close encounters within 24 hours to generate visit summaries for patient flow and continuity of care.
- Use consultants effectively and efficiently as evidenced by referral frequency and appropriateness.
- Demonstrate sound judgment and decision-making skills in daily practice activities.
- Update problems, medications, and vaccine lists appropriately.
- Complete ROS, anticipatory guidance, preventive, and screening components.
- Adhere to accepted evidence-based standards of care.
- Encounters completed in a timely manner and accurately.
- Charges submitted promptly.
- Coordinate and lead daily team huddles.
- Medication lists updated and reconciled according to policy.
- Quality Measures Performance Report demonstrates performance within acceptable ranges.
- Clinician Utilization Review Grid demonstrates performance within acceptable ranges.
- Respond professionally to change.
- Attend continuing education events and share summaries with peers.
- Use auxiliary departments effectively (HBN, Care Coordination).
- Be flexible to meet center needs outside regular working hours.
- Respond appropriately to adversity or stress.
- Renee license, privileging, credentialing, and DEA number in a timely fashion.
- Coordinate and lead team activities consistent with PCMH function.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, you must have a current and active State of Florida Department of Health license (MD, DO, DDS, DMD, RDH) and DEA certification.
