As a key member of the Stony Brook University team, the CT Imaging Specialist plays a crucial role in delivering high-quality clinical services to our diverse patient population.
Role Responsibilities:
The CT Imaging Specialist is responsible for:
- Conducting diagnostic imaging procedures, ensuring optimal patient positioning and safety.
- Utilizing advanced imaging technology to produce high-resolution scans tailored to individual patient needs.
- Implementing safety protocols and providing necessary patient care during procedures.
In this role, you will also:
- Assist physicians in administering contrast media as required.
- Oversee the execution of routine and specialized imaging procedures, delegating tasks as appropriate.
- Provide instruction and training to radiology students and other personnel on equipment operation and safety standards.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Completion of an accredited Diagnostic Radiology Technology program.
- Valid New York State Department of Health license in Diagnostic Radiology Technology with IV Contrast Injection certification.
- ARRT-CT Certification and current BLS Certification.
Preferred:
- Experience in a hospital setting and proficiency in CT imaging techniques.
Additional Information:
