Land Development Manager Job Description

Lennar Homes is seeking a highly skilled Land Development Manager to oversee the development of our communities. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of land development, from planning and entitlements to the completion of infrastructure and amenities.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the day-to-day management of project-specific land development, ensuring timely completion and adherence to budget and quality standards.
  • Supervise and direct subcontractors, ensuring high-quality workmanship and compliance with City or County requirements and applicable codes.
  • Manage schedules, budgets, and cash flow projections, ensuring effective cost control and monitoring of compliance and obligations of tract map conditions, exactions, and bond exoneration processing.
  • Administer multi-disciplinary consulting teams in preparation and processing of land use documents and related infrastructure design/improvement plans.
  • Coordinate with jurisdictional agencies and other stakeholders to obtain necessary entitlements, permits, and approvals.
  • Maintain accurate records of project changes, inspections, and corresponding paperwork.
  • Ensure compliance with SWPPP management and regulations.
  • Lead, coach, and mentor team members to achieve desired results and promote a positive work environment.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Valid, unrestricted driver's license and good driving record required.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in land acquisition and/or development.
  • Excellent written, oral, organizational, and math skills.
  • Ability to read, understand, and evaluate civil engineering/development plans.
  • Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office and CAD software.
  • Excellent project management skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
