Job Summary
The Culinary Support Specialist plays a vital role in ensuring a high standard of food service. Responsibilities include monitoring and documenting food temperatures, maintaining a clean and sanitized serving area, preparing and serving food items, restocking food supplies, cleaning and sanitizing kitchen equipment, and processing payments for food and beverages using a computerized register.
Adheres to Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) guidelines for food safety. Provides excellent customer service and communicates effectively with patrons and team members. Demonstrates the ability to build strong working relationships.Maintains quality control standards.
May operate various kitchen equipment, including grills, beverage machines, toasters, ice cream dispensers, cash registers, computerized cash registers, steam equipment, dishwashers, telephones, refrigerators, and freezers.
Experience in the food service industry is preferred.Must be able to work independently when required. Understands food safety and sanitation processes. Demonstrates the ability to remain on feet for extended periods and walk significant distances.
Qualifications
Minimum age of 16 years. Previous experience in customer service, retail cash handling, and knowledge of food service is preferred. Ability to read, write, and follow oral and written instructions. Basic math skills are necessary. On-the-job training will be provided.
Depending on the location of hire, Serv Safe certification may be required within a specified timeframe. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification may also be required based on location requirements.
