We are seeking a skilled Catering Event Chef to join our team and help us deliver exceptional service and food to our clients and their guests.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in event BEO production for all events in the commissary.
  • Stage food for travel to the event.
  • Execute the finale preparation of all food items for small, medium, or large events, meeting our standards and presentation quality.
  • Set up and break down a temporary field kitchen, as well as prepare, heat, and present hot and cold food items in various catering scenarios.
  • Manage the breakdown of the field kitchen, handling leftover food, and preparing equipment for travel back to the commissary.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of service experience in offsite catering or banquet service in a hotel, resort, or other food service establishments.
  • 1+ years of management and leadership experience.
  • Ability to multitask, communicate effectively, and work well under pressure.
  • Knowledge of cooking fundamentals, including sauces, stocks, and proper cooking and holding temperatures.
  • Exceptional cleanliness and sanitation practices.
  • Ability to work well with FOH staff, event service captains, and sales teams.

Benefits:

  • Competitive hourly rate of $24.00 per hour, with added gratuity.
  • Guaranteed gratuity of $10.00 per hour for all events, except occasional contracted festivals, charities, or marketing events.

Work Location and Schedule:

Our corporate office and commissary is located in the north valley at 1825 W Crest Lane, Phoenix, Arizona. You will be required to meet at this location at your scheduled time to assist in food production, inspect event equipment, oversee the packing of menu items, and gather any additional items related to the event. Depending on the level of service, you may be required to meet on-site at event locations throughout the valley, southern, or northern Arizona.

Shifts are scheduled at least 2 weeks prior or up to 1 month prior, depending on booking dates. Event Chef shifts average 5-8 hours, with a 4-hour minimum shift guaranteed unless staff members request an early departure.
