Job Overview

Position Summary:

All back-of-house roles are required to arrive at work as scheduled, dressed in appropriate attire, and maintain exemplary personal hygiene and cleanliness throughout their shifts. Each employee will receive their designated area at the start of their shift and will be responsible for executing all opening and closing tasks as instructed by the supervising manager. Team members are expected to uphold the highest standards of sanitation and food safety during their shifts. They must comply with all safety protocols and report any hazardous conditions, unsafe behaviors, accidents, or injuries to the Chef or the on-duty manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintains cleanliness in front-of-house areas as assigned, including but not limited to floors, bar mats, waste receptacles, and restrooms, prior to the restaurant's opening.
  • Conducts routine cleaning and maintenance of the building's exterior in accordance with the established housekeeping and maintenance schedule.
  • Prepares and disassembles the dishwashing machine daily, ensuring all components are clean and polished.
  • Monitors the dishwashing machine for proper operation and promptly reports any issues to management.
  • Washes, organizes, and replenishes all dishware, glassware, utensils, and cookware to ensure adequate supplies are available for service.
  • Regularly checks the water temperature of the dishwashing machine during operation to confirm it meets safety standards.
  • Disposes of trash from the dish room and kitchen, ensuring cleanliness of waste receptacles throughout the shift.
  • Regularly checks and replaces full linen bags as needed during the shift.
  • Assists both front and back of house staff with cleaning tasks to maintain a safe and welcoming environment for guests and team members.
  • Supports all restaurant staff in the storage of food, equipment, and supplies received at the establishment.
  • Completes all assigned side work in both front and back of house as directed by management.
