Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Sign Language Interpreter to join our team at Soliant. As a Sign Language Interpreter, you will play a critical role in ensuring equal access to education for students who are deaf or hard of hearing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality sign language interpretation services to students in an elementary school setting.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with students, teachers, and other school staff to ensure seamless communication.
  • Collaborate with educators to create inclusive learning environments that support the academic and social needs of students who are deaf or hard of hearing.
  • Conduct assessments to determine the communication needs of students and develop individualized plans to meet those needs.
  • Stay up-to-date with best practices in sign language interpretation and education to ensure the highest level of service delivery.
Requirements
  • Minimum 1+ years of experience as a Sign Language Interpreter.
  • Must have a valid EIPA score.
  • Must be a Certified Sign Language Interpreter.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
