Special Education Teacher

Insight Global is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher to support one of our clients in the Pittsburgh area.
Our client is a tuition-free public charter school that focuses on providing every student with the opportunity to find their pathway to success in the classroom and beyond.
The ideal candidate will create an inclusive classroom environment, develop individualized education plans (IEPs), and collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and support staff to ensure each student's success.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs.
- Adapt and modify curriculum and instructional materials to meet the needs of students.
- Provide direct instruction in academic subjects, social skills, and life skills.
- Utilize a variety of teaching methods and strategies to accommodate different learning styles.
- Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting instruction as needed.
- Collaborate with general education teachers to support inclusive practices.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and needs.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student performance and IEP goals.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in special education.
- Foster a positive and supportive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and learning.
This is a 6-month contract-to-hire position. The hourly pay for this position is between $26.50/hr-$31.25/hr depending upon years of experience and qualifications.

- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field
- Valid state teaching certification in Special Education
- Experience working with high school students, particularly in a special education setting
Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching.
Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
