Job Overview

ProCare Therapy is partnering with William Penn School District to hire five Special Education Teachers for virtual case management services. This full-time virtual teaching opportunity covers the entire school year, working with a broad age range of students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and tailor lessons across subjects to meet the diverse needs and learning styles of students, employing innovative methods to support both academic and social development.
  • Create and regularly update Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) with clear goals and strategies to address each student's unique learning needs, with a particular focus on the Transition section.
  • Implement strategies to manage behaviors, foster a positive learning environment, and help students build social skills and emotional resilience.
  • Collaborate with the education team to ensure a cohesive approach to student education, actively participating in meetings and maintaining ongoing communication.

Requirements:

  • Masters degree in Special Education
  • Active Pennsylvania Special Education license and teaching certificate
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a school setting
  • Experience with teaching virtually is preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Reliable computer and high-speed internet
