Position Details

Compensation: $130 per hour

Coverage: Immediate start with a potential extension

Qualifications: Candidates must be either a Cardiothoracic Physician Assistant or an experienced Nurse Practitioner with RNFA Certification.

Work Environment: Hospital and clinic settings

Schedule: Monday to Friday, with operating room hours from 7:00 AM to 3:45 PM; inpatient rounding from 7:15 AM to 3:45 PM.

Daily Responsibilities

The role involves:

  • Inpatient rounding and assisting in the operating room, with responsibilities divided among providers based on case schedules.
  • Performing procedures such as pulling epicardial wires, chest tubes, vein harvesting, and ensuring proficiency in endoscopic vein harvesting and first assisting.
  • Participating in a call rotation of 1:4, with expectations for weekday and weekend coverage.
  • Managing an average of 2 operating room cases per day.
Additional Information

EMR System: Epic

Credentialing Timeline: Approximately 45-60 days from application submission.

Requirements
  • Active unrestricted Oregon License
  • Current ACLS and BLS certifications
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
  • Board Certification
  • Vaccination with booster is mandatory
  • Full-time commitment is essential; no deviations from the schedule will be accepted.
  • Ability to provide at least two supervisory references.
