About the Role:

As an Electro-Mechanical Equipment Specialist at Jacobs, you will play a critical role in managing and performing non-routine disassembly, preparation, overhaul, repair, reassembly, testing, or fabrication and assembly of complex electro-mechanical equipment on a jobbing basis. This requires moderate electromechanical skill and ability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and perform removal, repair, and installation of various items pertaining to rebuilding and the repair of communication shelters, trailers, and vans.
  • Repair may be structural in nature, including repair and modification of doors and wall assemblies.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
  • Lay out and install equipment racks, brackets, holding devices, mast assemblies, HVAC systems, and electrical components within shelter, utilizing drawings and technical specifications and manuals.
  • Apply knowledge gained through education and prior experience to accomplish work necessary to develop deliverable end products from written tasks, including mechanical drawings and verbal direction by the COR.
  • Provide design and fabrication services in support of communication shelters, trailers, vans, antenna mounts, and other custom enclosures and mechanical parts.
  • Manage, develop work schedules, and estimates for performing fabrication services, provide reporting on shop production and tasking activities, and manage and direct the work of shop personnel performing a variety of machining and fabrication support functions.
  • Apply knowledge gained through education and/or prior experience to accomplish work necessary to develop deliverable end products from written tasks, including mechanical drawings and verbal direction by the COR.
  • Manage shop equipment, supplies, raw materials, and equipment preventative maintenance schedules to ensure timely delivery of requested items.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Must have or be able to obtain a Secret clearance.
