Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as an Explorers Behavior Assistant. This part-time position will provide support to students with special needs or behavior challenges in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

Responsibilities
  • Provide one-on-one support to students with difficulty participating in daily activities.
  • Assist students with supervision during transitions, group activities, and unstructured play.
  • Model effective intervention strategies and work collaboratively with the lead teacher and other staff to ensure the safety and success of all children.
Requirements
  • Experience working with children with special needs or behavior challenges.
  • Proven positive human relations skills with adults and students.
  • Demonstrated ability to take direction and work as a team member.
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative and maintain confidentiality.
  • Proven record of punctuality and responsibility.
Working Conditions

This position is part-time and will be located at multiple elementary schools within the Minnetonka Public Schools district.

Compensation

The hourly wage for this position is $20.70, and this role qualifies for a stipend from a DHS Stabilization Grant.
