Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Medical Support Specialist to join our team. As a Medical Support Specialist, you will play a critical role in supporting our physicians and nurse practitioners in providing exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with the check-in of patients and provide a warm welcome to our facility.
- Serve as the primary assistant to our physicians and nurse practitioners, including chart preparation and between-visit support.
- Provide education and support to patients on neuromodulation treatments, including Cranial Electric Stimulation, Endeavor, and Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation.
- Order and track lab results, genetic tests, and imaging studies.
- Anticipate the needs of our medical staff and provide administrative support as needed.
- Perform a wide range of clerical procedures that require independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative.
- Navigate our complex medical environment with ease and understand the lines of communication.
- Act as a liaison between patients and our billing department to resolve outstanding issues and enhance account receivables.
- Work collaboratively with our staff to ensure seamless scheduling and patient flow.
- Call in prescriptions and process prescription denials.
- Create new patient records, upload documents, and maintain accuracy in our electronic medical records.
- Coordinate EEG referrals and prepare items for presentations as needed by our medical team.
- Assist with special projects and last-minute urgent assignments from leadership.
- Complete forms for patients and email patient appointment follow-up information.
- Coordinate medical scheduling, SDRC scheduling, and maintain spreadsheets as needed.
- Apply company policies and procedures and coordinate administrative matters with colleagues in all offices.
- 2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant in a patient-facing pediatrics or family practice setting.
- High cognition for problem-solving with a strong sense of preparation and maintaining a constant state of readiness.

The base pay range for this opening is $21.69 to $27.11, and compensation will be determined based on your skill level, relevant experience, education level, and location.
