About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Patient Services Technician II to join our team at Rochester Regional Health. As a key member of our phlebotomy department, you will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of patient information while collecting specimens.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect blood specimens from patients using venipuncture, heel stick, and finger stick techniques.
  • Enter client information into the Laboratory Information System (LIS) and document essential information for specimen procurement, processing, and testing.
  • Train new employees on phlebotomy procedures and provide guidance on maintaining specimen integrity.
  • Communicate effectively with patients to ensure accuracy and provide general information.
Requirements
  • Certificate in Phlebotomy preferred.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Basic keyboard/data entry skills.
