Position Summary:

We are in search of a Web Application Engineer to develop, implement, and maintain web-based applications. Examples of applications may include project management tools, essential business workflows, and custom application workflows that interface with data providers through RESTful APIs. This role presents an excellent opportunity to significantly contribute to our organizational success. You will be instrumental in creating web applications that link systems, automate administrative processes, monitor performance, aggregate information, and generate insights to support strategic decision-making.

You will collaborate closely with a team of software engineers, technology architects, project managers, and client success specialists, utilizing cutting-edge technologies to create superior products in the market.

Key Responsibilities:

As a member of the technology delivery team, your responsibilities will include:

  • Engaging in the scoping of technical requirements, ensuring that the allocated time is appropriately sized for the assigned technical tasks.
  • Writing HTML, CSS, and JavaScript code to implement the functionalities specified in the requirements documentation.
  • Conducting unit testing for the routines and procedures developed as part of your coding efforts.
  • Integrating your work into a code repository to facilitate the successful deployment of implemented solutions.
  • Maintaining existing applications by enhancing performance, rectifying bugs, or adding new functionalities.
  • Participating in code review sessions where you will articulate the technical approach employed in your code.
  • Assisting in requirements gathering sessions alongside project managers and stakeholders.
  • Designing, developing, and maintaining server-side applications.
  • Updating and optimizing existing server-side applications as necessary.
Required Qualifications:
  • Proficient knowledge and experience with web technologies, particularly JavaScript.
  • Experience in writing HTML pages from scratch and integrating custom CSS styling beyond pre-built frameworks like Bootstrap.
  • Experience in consuming data through RESTful APIs, managing JSON data transfer mechanisms, and understanding JavaScript's asynchronous capabilities.
  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript, with a solid grasp of asynchronous programming principles.
Education & Experience:

VeilSun is a strong advocate for continuous improvement and education. The following educational qualifications and experiences will align you for success in this role:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or
  • Experience in handling large datasets or managing databases.
  • Experience in developing web applications using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Experience with JavaScript frameworks such as Angular.
