Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and manage the daily operations of the housekeeping department, including labor management and payroll processing.
  • Develop and implement strategies to manage housekeeping operating expenses and ensure departmental budget compliance.
  • Assess priorities and address accordingly, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Enforce company and departmental policies and procedures, maintaining a culture of excellence and accountability.
  • Manage and control purchasing to ensure departmental budget compliance.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of a deep cleaning schedule, ensuring that all areas of the hotel are maintained to the highest standards.
  • Direct and evaluate the performance of staff, providing training and development opportunities to ensure effective results.
  • Assist in hiring and supervising housekeeping teams, ensuring that all staff members are equipped to provide exceptional service.
  • Develop and maintain effective communication systems, ensuring that all departments and staff members are informed and aligned.
  • Provide feedback to management and owners on specific needs and concerns.
  • Develop and maintain effective payable, payroll, work order, and other paperwork systems.
  • Provide quality control and care of supplies and equipment, ensuring that all areas of the hotel are maintained to the highest standards.
Requirements
  • Proven track record of success in housekeeping management, with a strong understanding of hotel operations and customer service principles.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff, management, and owners.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess priorities and address accordingly.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a strong attention to detail and a commitment to excellence.
  • Knowledge of information technology systems and equipment, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with guests and owners, providing exceptional service and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire staff to achieve exceptional results.
  • Ability to work in a team environment, with a strong commitment to collaboration and communication.
