Barista Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Barista to join our team at JO Restaurant Group. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing a variety of food and beverages to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to our guests, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience.
• Cash Handling and POS Operations: Accurately handle cash transactions and operate the point-of-sale system with efficiency and accuracy.
• Inventory Management: Maintain a well-stocked inventory of pastries, cookies, and other products, restocking as necessary to meet customer demand.
• Coffee Service: Prepare a variety of espresso and non-espresso drinks to the highest quality standards, even during busy periods.
• Work Environment: Maintain a clean and organized workstation, adhering to our high cleanliness standards.
• Teamwork: Demonstrate a team player attitude, willing to pitch in where needed to ensure the smooth operation of the cafe.

Requirements:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: Previous experience in a cafe or barista role is required.
• Skills: Familiarity with food service equipment, including knives, pots and pans, ovens, and slicers. Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for up to 8 hours.
• Transportation: Reliable transportation is required.

Hourly Rate Range: $17.50 per hour.
