Clinical Psychologist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consulting Psychologist to join our dynamic team in the Medical Industry.
This role is ideal for a professional who has a deep understanding of various psychological concepts and can apply them to improve patient care.
As a Consulting Psychologist, you will be responsible for providing psychological evaluations, creating treatment plans, and consulting with medical professionals to enhance patient outcomes.
You will also work closely with patients, their families, and other healthcare professionals to manage and treat mental health issues and developmental disabilities, including autism.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive diagnostic evaluations for patients, including those with developmental disabilities and autism.
- Provide psychological counseling to patients and their families to help them understand and manage their conditions.
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and responses.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to provide integrated care for patients.
- Consult with medical professionals to incorporate psychological perspectives into patient care.
- Conduct research to stay updated on the latest psychological theories and treatments in the medical field.
- Educate healthcare professionals and the general public about mental health and psychological issues.
- Adhere to all professional, ethical, and legal regulations as mandated by the California Board of Psychology.
Qualifications:
- A PhD in Psychology from an accredited institution.
- A valid California license as a Psychologist.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the medical field.
- Proficiency in conducting diagnostic evaluations and developing treatment plans.
- Extensive experience working with patients with developmental disabilities and autism.
- Excellent communication and consultation skills.
- Strong understanding of the latest research, treatments, and trends in psychology.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong commitment to ethical practices and maintaining patient confidentiality.
- Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive situations with compassion and professionalism.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to make informed decisions based on data.
- Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
- Proficient in using computer software and databases for patient record keeping and research purposes.
