Position Overview: We are looking for a highly qualified and experienced Senior Software Systems Analyst with a robust background in troubleshooting, analysis, specification, testing, and implementation of business or financial software systems. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems (MIS), or Business Administration (BA), coupled with 5 to 8 years of relevant and progressive experience. This role demands exceptional communication abilities, meticulous attention to detail, and the capacity to thrive in a customer-oriented team environment. Some travel may be necessary based on project requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot, analyze, specify, test, and implement business or financial software systems within a customer-focused team environment.
  • Employ advanced user skills in MS Office, particularly Excel (including Pivot Tables/Charts, V-lookups, and H-lookups), PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Engage with PeopleSoft, specifically with experience in PeopleSoft Budgeting and Forecasting, Projects, and General Ledger (GL).
  • Utilize reporting tools such as PS Query and BI Publisher for report generation.
  • Diagnose, debug, and rectify programs using Application Designer, Trace, and MS SQL.
  • Support the business team with testing and acceptance testing for development and fixes.
  • Document and validate test cases against functional requirements.
  • Deliver consistent positive outcomes with minimal guidance and supervision.
  • Prioritize and execute tasks in a dynamic environment with varying requirements and deadlines.
  • Work independently as well as collaboratively within a team setting.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems (MIS), or Business Administration (BA).
  • 5 to 8 years of progressive, relevant experience in troubleshooting, analysis, specification, testing, and implementation of business or financial software systems.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Experience with PeopleSoft, particularly in Budgeting and Forecasting, Projects, and GL.
  • Strong analytical skills in PeopleSoft Budgeting and Forecasting, Projects, and GL.
  • Familiarity with reporting tools such as PS Query and BI Publisher.
  • Experience in diagnosing, debugging, and correcting programs using Application Designer, Trace, and MS SQL.
  • Ability to assist the business team with testing or acceptance testing for development and fixes.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with PeopleSoft 9.2 and PeopleTools 8.5x.
