Software Engineer

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Software Programmer to join our team at Actalent. As a key member of our software development team, you will be responsible for supporting projects ranging from small studies to multi-million dollar turn-key supply.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Support a commercially-marketed Data Acquisition and Control Software Package to include programming, testing, field deployment, and documentation activities.
  • Develop data acquisition system interface software in C# or LabVIEW for National Instruments products (i.e. PXI, cDAQ or cRIO) or similar equipment
  • RDBMS development, particularly Microsoft SQL Server
  • Perform local software development, integration, and testing
  • Track work progress and develop risk mitigation plans if necessary
  • Develop software for communication networks including Ethernet, reflective memory, GPIB, USB, RS-232/485, etc
  • Lead software and data acquisition projects through all phases to include design, fabrication, implementation, testing and commissioning.

Requirements:

  • BS in Computer Science or a related technical field.
  • Must be eligible to obtain DOD Clearance.
  • Must have experience with LabVIEW.
  • 0-3 years of professional experience using C#/.NET. C/ and SQL.
  • Understanding of Ladderlogic is a huge plus.
  • Knowledge of/familiarity/ability to troubleshoot computer hardware, operating systems, networks, Active Directory, etc. a plus.
  • Knowledge of/familiarity with data acquisition systems and electrical test equipment a plus.
