JOIN WOODMONT HEALTH CAMPUS:
Oversees, directs, and manages the operational functions of the business office within the healthcare facility.


Key responsibilities include managing billing and collections in alignment with established accounting standards and organizational policies.


Key Responsibilities:
Ensure accurate and prompt submission of claims to various payers, including Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance.

Maintain an organized system for timely follow-up and collection of outstanding balances.

Communicate effectively with clients and insurance representatives regarding overdue accounts.

Prepare monthly Private Pay billing statements and assist clients with any billing-related questions.

Verify benefits across different payer categories, including Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance.

Create and manage resident information within the Accounts Receivable system.

Update the Accounts Receivable system daily, including census data and resident information, to ensure precise billing.


Record daily payments received to the appropriate resident accounts and cash receipt journal, reconciling the cash receipts journal with the deposit log.

Assist residents and families with Medicaid applications and ongoing eligibility assessments.

Supervise and manage resident trust accounts, including deposits and payments as necessary, and reconcile monthly bank statements.

Oversee month-end billing processes for all payer categories, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in accordance with policies and procedures.


Prepare reports detailing collection actions taken on all accounts for quarterly reviews with the Executive Director and Business Office Support.

Provide backup for telephone operations.

Ensure consistent compliance with established procedures for cost management related to supplies and purchasing policies.

Monitor and maintain adequate inventory of office supplies.

Participate in mandatory annual training programs.

Engage in meetings focused on billing matters.

Prior experience in billing, collections, revenue cycle management, and Medicaid eligibility criteria is preferred.

Minimal travel may be required, including occasional overnight stays.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
A high school diploma or equivalent is required; a college degree or some college coursework is preferred.

Experience:
At least two (2) years of experience in accounts receivable, payroll, or accounts payable environments. Experience in Medicaid/Medicare, healthcare, senior living, pharmacy, or long-term care settings is preferred.

Experience with billing, collections, revenue cycle management, and Medicaid eligibility criteria is also preferred.

Strong computer skills, including proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, are essential.
