We are seeking a highly skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at Mount Sinai Queens. As a Radiologic Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our Express Care department.
Responsibilities- Perform radiographic examinations on patients referred by physicians in accordance with Radiology protocols.
- Apply technical judgment to obtain studies of an acceptable diagnostic quality.
- Assist, prepare, and position patients as required to perform radiological procedures.
- Provide patient education relevant to specific imaging procedures.
- Ensure all radiographic images are appropriately labeled and transmitted to PACS in a timely fashion.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and departmental efficiency.
- Associate's degree (AA) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
- 6 months to 1 year of related experience and/or training.
- N.Y. State Dept. of Health Licensed Radiologic Technologist or current temporary permit under section 3505 of the Public Health Law.
