Job Title: Ambulatory Pulmonology Pharmacist

The University Health System- San Antonio is seeking an experienced Ambulatory Pulmonology Pharmacist to join our team. As a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist Lead, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive clinical pharmacy services related to ambulatory pulmonology.

Salary: $160,000 - $190,000 per annum

About the Position

This role requires a strong understanding of pharmaceutical practices and regulations, as well as excellent communication and collaboration skills. You will work closely with an interdisciplinary team to develop and implement treatment plans that optimize patient outcomes.

  • Provide direct patient care and education;
  • Develop and implement clinical pharmacy services;
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to enhance patient care;
  • Maintain current knowledge of pharmaceutical practices and regulations.
Education and Experience

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Pharm.D. degree or a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy;
  • Completion of an ASHP-accredited Postgraduate Year Two (PGY2) Pharmacy Residency with at least 3 years of experience in ambulatory pulmonology or equivalent;
  • Current Pharmacy and Pharmacy Preceptor licensure, or eligibility for licensure, in the state of Texas;
  • Certification by the Board of Pharmacy Specialties (as appropriate to specialty).
